Tom Hammond

Sound Editor, Sound Designer, Re-recording Mixer

Tom is the owner of Soundcrafter.  He has been the supervising sound editor on six of Richard Linklater's films and the superviser and/or re-recording mixer on at least 80 other independent narrative and documentary features.   He intermittently teaches and quest lectures in the Radio, Television and Film Department at the University of Texas at Austin.  He received a BFA and MFA in film/video production from the California Institute of the Arts. Earlier he studied physics and music composition at Whitman College.

Susan Fitz-Simon

Foley Artist, Sound Editor, Sound Designer, Re-recording Mixer

Susan is the manager of Soundcrafter. Her two paths of music and dance merged and Susan found her calling in the craft of foley. She worked at the Warner Burbank stage and many other Los Angeles foley stages until 2007 when she moved to Austin. At Soundcrafter she has not only continued as a foley artist but has expanded into sound editing, sound designing, and re-recording mixing. She has been a guest lecturer at the School of Theater, Film and Television at the University of California at Los Angeles and the Radio, Television and Film Department at the University of Texas, Austin. Foley credits include the TV series: Friends, That 70's Show, Survivor, the Apprentice and the feature Bernie. Re-recording mixer credits include the A&E series Shipping Wars and TLC's My 600lb Life.

Wayne Bell

Production Mixer, Field Recordist, Sound Editor, Sound Designer, Re-recording Mixer

Wayne has been in Austin working on film sound for over three decades.  He and Tobe Hooper designed the sound for the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre."  He also specializes in producing radio documentaries where he not only designs all the sound but also writes the script and performs the narration.  He has been a field recordist, sound editor and sound designer on many Linklater and other Texas based films.  He is a well known recordist of unique Texas sounds and is often hired by out of state film productions to do field recording. Re-recording mixer credits include the A&E series Shipping Wars and TLC's My 600lb Life.

Justin Hennard

Production Mixer, Field Recordist, Sound Editor, Sound Designer, Re-recording Mixer

Before working in sound Justin started out as self-taught filmmaker and photographer. He has also been a Production Assistant, DP and Picture Editor. His science fiction feature "Moonlight by the Sea" won him two awards and his sound design for the film got him a job working at Soundcrafter. Since then he has been a sound editor, sound designer and field recordist on Richard Linklater's "Before Sunset," "A Scanner Darkly" and "Bernie." He has also expanded into production mixing with work on the documentary, "The Horse Whisper," and many reality TV episodes for MTV. He has also taught in the Radio, Television and Film Department at the University of Texas at Austin.

Glenn Eanes

Sound Editor, Sound Designer, Re-recording Mixer

Glenn worked with computer audio and chip design in the tech industry for over seven years before returning to school and receiving a B.S. in Radio, Television and Film at the University of Texas at Austin. His work on the sound for many student films led to collaborations on projects completed at Soundcrafter. In addition to editing and sound design on a number of narrative and documentary features, he has become the lead re-recording mixer for many of Megalomedia television series completed at Soundcrafter.
